Being an editor at JBCOMS, either editor-in-chief or associate editor, is a challengeand a privilege for any CBCTBMFmember. After two years of learning fromDr. Sylvio de Moraes, I will continue thework already performed, focusing on thegrowth of our journal. Increasing the numberof investigations and citations will beone of the pillars of the current board, toensure the future indexing.

In a very optimistic and motivated mood, I begin this new stage of our journalas associate editor, in the company of editor-in-chief Jonathan Ribeiro. Having theopportunity to be part of the history of this journal has always been one of my goals,since completing my PhD and beginning my teaching and research career. Basedon the trust granted to me, I hope to reciprocate by adding new achievements in thesame direction as previous editors.
